Which Country Has The Best Live Music Venues

Posted on September 4, 2012

Don’t take it as jingoism if I state that the United States has the best live music venues of any country in the world. While England ranks a close second in the list (or possibly 1A when you look at what big cities like London and Manchester have), it’s hard to imagine another country that has the type of venues that the United States has. It’s not just the quality that you find in the United States (and Canada, if you want to lump them in as well), but it’s also the quantity of options that are in any specific city. While big cities like New York and Los Angeles literally have dozens of concert venues to choose from, even smaller cities tend to have at least a handful of venues that a band can play.

One of the biggest things that the United States has over the rest of the world when it comes to live music venues is that bands have options on where they want to play in most cities. Whether it is a big band playing an arena or an amphitheater, or a medium sized band looking to play a medium sized venue, they can find exactly what they need.
